Portrait. Ink Siena. Bristol paper.
Like always I am not allowed to show what I am actually working on, which is a new children´s book. This is a small picture I have painted a few days ago. Hope you like it.
Two more sketches. At the moment there i s loads of work and little time for the blog…
A drawing I did for an exhibition. I used the original photograph instead in the end. But actually I like it, although artistically this is a drawing that is slightly to dependant on the original photo.
This drawing is closely related to one of the photographs from the photography section. Drawing from photographs section. This model is hard to draw, I still struggle to capture both her personality and her charm…
A slightly unfinished drawing based on one of my photographs of Céleste (if you’re interested click here – Céleste portrait)). The big problem about making this kind of pictures is when to stop….this drawuing is somehow related to the famous Dürer selfportrait in the Alte Pinakothek in Munich from 1500. I like renaissance art a lot.
Some photographs I took in May with my favorite model. I sometimes don´t know if I should post these pictures here, but I don´t do enough photography to run a second blog.
What it is weird about these pictures is that if somebody asked me how to describe this particular model with three attributes, the first things that would spring to my mind would be intelligent, strong-minded, with a deadpan sense of humor. I don´t know if any of this is conveyed by these pictures. I guess I still have to learn a lot. But she is beautiful and Russian, I guess that part worked….
