Affordable Art Fair Sketches

Animation

I finished a clip for the Affordable Art Fair in Hamburg last week. I have to refrain from showing the clip, because it is not released yet. The theme was roughly Beatles related, so I wasted some time thinking of something that would have resembled I met the Walrus (the Canadian film that won an Oscar for best animated short)and would probably have caused lots of copyright problems. The final clip doesn´t look anything like these drawings (and doesn´t infringe any copyrights), so before they disappear I thought I ´d show them on my blog….

I am a big Beatles fan, which probably caused my imagination to run a little too wild.

Schlossfestspiele Trailer

Animation

These are the sketches for a commercial for Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele (a festival for mostly for classical music) designed to be shown in cinemas arround Stuttgart. I have spent a little too much on these hand drawn sketches, because it was pretty obvious that the client was going to choose the photo collage style used on its website. I haven´t found it on the web yet, but I will post a link as soon as I find it. the character did exist beforehand. I did almost everything else. The last picture in the gallery is the final look.

Thanks to Studio Fitzbin and Mareike Ottrand. Sound and music by Hannah von Hübbenet.

Sketches for Bärenbraut

Animation, illustration

These slightly older pictures have been online for about a month, but they are perhaps a little hidden. I have uploaded a lot of new pictures while updating the homepage part of this blog, but I guess only very few people have seen this already, so I thought I would like to bring this to your attention.

If you want to know more about these pictures read what I have written about my film Bärenbraut:

Award for Music and Sounddesign

Animation, comic, Uncategorized

I have just been informed, that the music and sound design by Frank Schreiber for my promotional short AP Plus one price at the Jerry Goldsmith festival in Cordoba.

Perhaps I should start sending the film itself to film festivals, so the film might win something, too. There is a link to the website of the festival, which features a portrait of Frank and the clip.
