A new book for children age 6-8 (children who just start learning how to read) has been published by Random House which I have illustrated last year. I will show some more Illustrations when I am sure that the book is available in bookstores. The story by Patricia Schröder is about a family holiday on a houseboat.

Sketches for Bärenbraut
Animation, illustrationThese slightly older pictures have been online for about a month, but they are perhaps a little hidden. I have uploaded a lot of new pictures while updating the homepage part of this blog, but I guess only very few people have seen this already, so I thought I would like to bring this to your attention.
If you want to know more about these pictures read what I have written about my film Bärenbraut:

Animation, comic, UncategorizedI have just been informed, that the music and sound design by Frank Schreiber for my promotional short AP Plus one price at the Jerry Goldsmith festival in Cordoba.
Perhaps I should start sending the film itself to film festivals, so the film might win something, too. There is a link to the website of the festival, which features a portrait of Frank and the clip.

Pirat voraus Käptn Klaus Sketches
comic, illustration, sketchIreland Sketches II
illustration, sketchPart II of drawings from my yearlong stay in Dublin in 2007 for a gallery in my sketchbook section. The dark drawing is from Wellington Quay in Dublin. I took some liberties with the houses surrounding the hotel, which indicates that I have finished the drawing at home.
The next drawing is from Glengariff. Many people in Ireland thought I was Scottish (which means my German accent went through some weird metamorphosis), in this case I chatted with a charming old lady from Edinburgh while I made this drawing, who was surprised I was German (“… I .thought you were from Scotland, too”).
The third one is from round the corner where I used to live in Rathmines.
